About Me

I was born in China during the one child policy, adopted and raised in the West, specifically Finland and England with many long periods in Argentina.

I spent my entire childhood jumping between country and culture, only settling down in Finland once my primary education began. At 15 I was admitted with a scholarship to the world's first travelling high school (THINK Global School). The school followed a Project-Based and cultural immersion Curriculum which meant I had opportunities to interact and interview genocide survivors, Nobel Peace Prize Winners, Australian Aboriginals, and traditional Motswana Storytellers. Through this experience I began discovering and exploring my passion for journalism.

Media and Writing has always been a power that both excites and scares me. It has become one of the most powerful tools in the world. It has the ability to uplift and enlighten just as quickly as it can enrage and disrupt. Because my own life was so vastly impacted by the one-child policy I have developed a passion for the individual story. To interview and research the personal impacts of laws, migration, conflicts, globalisation and culture.

I am currently completing my Bachelors Degree in Communications Science at the University of Amsterdam.
